Private servers usually host thousands of players per realm and have their own communities where players can exchange information and builds, talents, and guides for World of Warcraft.
The communities on private servers are usually quite tight-knit and everyone knows each other, which is the actual essence of World of Warcraft. Some of the servers feature an increased xp rate, gold gain, reputation gain, and profession skill (Warmane’s Outland and Icecrown for example), and others are what’s commonly referred to as “Blizzlike”, where everything is as it was during the original Blizzard’s release (Northdale and Sunwell for example).
